Do you need supplements to gain muscle effectively? Are supplements necessary to build a muscular, head-turning body?

Well, it really all just depends on how you define "need".

If you're aiming to build muscle size and strength, then supplements are not a must.

If you execute a smart training program, eat the proper foods, sleep and recover then you can still build a good body without using any supplements at all.

However, if you're aiming to achieve the best results possible in the shortest amount of time and as conveniently as possible, then yes, supplements are necessary.

You don't need supplements to gain muscle, but you do need supplements to gain muscle at the fastest and most efficient rate possible.

What supplementation essentially does is provide your body with highly concentrated doses of the most effective muscle gaining substances out there.

This is a feat that simply cannot be achieved through a typical diet.

You can eat as many steaks as you want and you still won't end up with the proper amount of creatine monohydrate. You can pound back chicken breasts until you're blue in the face and you still won't reach the proper dose of beta alanine.

Supplements essentially concentrate all of the "good stuff" into one place in a specific combination, dose and ratio to push your bodybuilding results to beyond normal levels.

In this respect, supplementation makes the impossible a reality.

In addition, supplementation makes your program a lot more convenient to follow.

For example, consuming 5 whole food meals a day is a much more daunting task then consuming 3 whole food meals and 2 whey protein shakes.

Supplements streamline your diet and make it far easier to follow by helping you easily meet your daily nutritional needs.

So no, you don't need supplements to gain muscle. However, if you're truly serious about your results, then yes, supplements are necessary.

The good news is that it doesn't require anything overly fancy or expensive. A few smart investments can help you get the body of your dreams without spending an arm and a leg to get it.

My recommended supplement stack for beginners is this:

1) Whey protein isolate.
(Builds and repairs muscle tisse)

2) Creatine/beta alanine mix.
(Boosts strength, performance and muscle cell volume)

3) High quality fish oil.
(Enhances muscle anabolism and prevents muscle breakdown)

4) Potent multivitamin.
(Optimizes your health and gym performance)

If you want to get your hands on the highest quality versions of these 4 items in a pre-made combo package, make sure to check out the EliteImpact Labs Store.

Just scroll to the bottom and select the "Elite Mass Protocol" package.

It includes a 100% pure whey protein isolate, creatine/beta alanine fruit punch mix, maximum potency fish oil and high quality multivitamin.

It's the perfect supplement combo that covers all of your basic needs.
