Gain 25 pounds of muscle in 1 month” screams the exciting advertisement in this month's muscle mag. You are nearly swayed once you see the before and after pictures and the smiling bodybuilder with the mountainous musculature.

To seal the deal, they'll throw in some phrases like "scientific breakthrough" and "the secret the pros use". At this point, they hope you're sprinting to your telephone ready to hand over your card information.

Slow down! I'm sorry, but there is no way for a person to gain 25 pounds of muscle that rapidly.

This is not debatable. The only way it would be remotely possible to accomplish this would be with the help of a surgeon and some sophisticated medical technique. Ignore the ads, their promises are meaningless.

The supplement industry created a multi-billion dollar scam using these websites, adverts, and magazines as the lure and your wallet as the bait.

The supplement industry always promotes ads like these, with accompanying phony testimonials and unsound research "proving" that this supplement is the one you need to gain 25 pounds of muscle without any lifestyle changes.

Don't fall for this scheme.

There is no question that there are good supplements available, but none of them will claim to be able to help you gain 25 pounds of muscle in 1 month. That being said, no supplement will ever replace the work that you must do at the gym.

If you want to determine if a supplement will work, look into quality research and ignore fake testimonials. Do not fall for claims that you can gain 25 pounds of muscle in a few weeks or that you can shed fat three times faster than everyone else. If such a supplement was available, it would be widely known and every good trainer would swear by it.

While it cannot be done in just 30 days, you CAN gain 25 pounds of muscle with the right approach.

You don't need a secret. In fact, all you need to do to gain 25 pounds of muscle is to workout consistently, stimulate all of your muscles in a scientific manner, utilize progressive overload techniques, eat the right foods, and get sufficient rest and sleep.

Supplements can enhance your gains, but not in the way claimed by the supplement industry. In fact, on a small number of supplements available today will actually increase your gains. When you see sensational ads and testimonials, don't get caught up in them, as it is likely that the testimonials are forged or exaggerated.

The "research" that supports the claim that you can gain 25 pounds of muscle in 1 month is usually phony or altered in some way to convince you that these were human studies.

In actuality, the tests were probably conducted using lab animals like rats and mice, so the data cannot be applied to humans. If a reference is supplied, look it up using PubMed.
