Gain 15 pounds of muscle in 5 days” is the slogan of the latest breakthrough supplement in any muscle magazine. You are nearly swayed by a handful of before and after pictures and muscular model smiling at you in the advertisement.

The ad is virtually guaranteed to be peppered with phrases like "the secret the pros know" and "scientifically proven", all done to have you gunning for the phone and whipping out your credit card.

Stop! I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's impossible to gain 15 pounds of muscle in 5 days.

There, I said it. The only possible way you could gain 15 pounds of muscle that quickly is with some cutting-edge surgical procedure. Don't believe the hype, no matter what the ads claim.

All of those ads, websites, and publications are nothing more than the work of a multi-billion dollar scheme perpetrated by the supplement industry.

The supplement industry is notorious for advertisements like the ones described above, replete with phony testimonials and questionable research that "proves" that their supplement is the one that can help you gain 15 pounds of muscle with little time and effort.

Don't fall for this scam.

While you can find supplements that will help you gain muscle, even the best ones can't help you to gain 15 pounds of muscle in a short period of time. No matter what supplement you take, none of them can substitute for hard work in the gym.

You must use sound research and not fake testimonials to decide if a supplement is worth your money. Ignore ads that claim that you can gain 15 pounds of muscle quickly or burn fat three times faster. If such a supplement was available, it would not be a secret and any quality trainer would recommend its use.

Anyone CAN gain 15 pounds of muscle, but you can't do it in 3 or 5 days.

All you need to do to gain 15 pounds of muscle and more is to work out regularly, stress all your muscle groups in a scientific manner, use progressive overload training, consume a balanced diet, and give your body the rest it needs.

Supplements can be of assistance, but not how those ads say they can. In fact, only a few supplements currently available actually increase your ability to gain 15 pounds of muscle. When you see those ads and testimonials, remain logical and take them with a grain of salt, as it is likely that those testimonials are fake or inaccurate.

The "research" which allegedly "proves" you can gain 15 pounds of muscle quickly is either forged or altered to convince you that the tests were performed using human subjects.

It is most likely that the laboratory tests were performed using rodents like mice and rats, and it's impossible to correlate this data to people. Double check any references on PubMed to make sure that the results are as the ads claim.
