The worst part of the supplement industry is that so many questionable products have been introduced into the market that the industry has destroyed all of its credibility.
This is not to say that all supplements have no use. Actually, there are is a top bodybuilding supplement that is both healthy and beneficial for your muscle building goals.
Since the marketplace has been flooded with so much incorrect information, it can be a struggle to locate the truth among all the lies. If you're at a loss at locating the top bodybuilding supplement that will help you gain muscle, you won't need to search any longer.
How is the information about the top bodybuilding supplement that I provide here different from all of the misinformation promoted in the supplement industry? For one, no one in the industry pays my salary, nor do I benefit financially or otherwise from any products they sell. Therefore, this is the place to be if you want honest and objective information about the top bodybuilding supplement.
I will begin by telling you that protein is the top bodybuilding supplement. You are probably well aware that protein is vital for repairing and building muscle fibers that are damaged during weight training. Thus protein is the single most essential nutrient the body needs to build muscle, and you will not build muscle unless you include enough of it in your diet.
For the biggest gains, 30% to 40% of your daily calories need to come from protein. I understand that's a large quantity of protein to consume. While you can get enough protein just from your diet, it is going to be difficult to eat that much red meat, poultry, fish, and cottage cheese on a daily basis.
Given that we are often pulled in different directions throughout the day, that level of consumption is probably not sustaining, necessitating protein supplementation. Whey protein is the top bodybuilding supplement you can find. Whey protein is known by virtually everyone, and there are countless companies that sell jars of this top bodybuilding supplement. The best part is that it is relatively inexpensive and good for your health.
While there are different types of whey proteins you can purchase, that is a discussion for another time. What I will discuss here is an additional protein supplement that has also emerged as a top bodybuilding supplement, MRPs.
MRP stands for meal replacement powders. In addition to providing all of your required protein, they also provide good carbs, healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals. With this in mind, you may start to question whether whey protein truly is the top bodybuilding supplement.
Well that answer is dependent on your financial resources. While MRPs provide an easy way to receive your required nutrition, they are also pricey. A box of 20 MRP packets has about the same cost as a large tub of whey protein. In terms of volume, MRPs are about three times as expensive as whey protein.
So what choices are available?
Well if you are "money rich but time poor", then MRPs are a solid choice and can easily replace a few of the five to seven meals you should consume daily. If money is tight, do not worry.
If the price of MRPs is prohibitive, you can still include the good carbs, vitamins, and minerals that make MRPs a top bodybuilding supplement at a much lower cost. The next time you go to purchase whey protein powder, go to your local supermarket and grab some bananas and oatmeal. Add these to your whey protein shake and you will have created your own inexpensive top bodybuilding supplement.
